Fantastic Wines You Should Not Miss

These are great wines for any occasion.  Perfect balance, great character and complexity, these wines stand out in a crowd.  Drop in and grab some before the are gone.

2008 3 Stones Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough $15.99

Wine Enthusiast 90 Points
"Richly fruited and tropical, this is a medium-bodied, slightly creamy textured Marlborough Savvy.   Flavors hint at pineapple, honey and stone fruit, yet remain zesty and clean, with a refreshing citrus zing to the finish"

2005 Mossback Cabernet Sauvignon Chalk Hill $17.99

100% from Tim Norris's vineyard in the Chalk Hill appellation A classic full bodied Cabernet. The wine is richly textured with blackberry and cassis flavors, and notes of cedar, sandalwood and delicious vanilla and chocolate.

2007 Stoller JV Estate Pinot Noir Willamette Valley $25.99

Stephen Tanzer IWC 88 Points
Redcurrant and cherry on the nose, with notes of rose and black tea lending complexity. A gently sweet midweight, offering sweet cherry and spice flavors, with silky tannins adding support. A firm spine of acidity adds refreshing energy and good finishing snap. I like this wine's clarity and energy.

2005 Calvet-Thunevin Cotes Catalanes Cuvee Constance  $17.99

Wine Advocate 90 Points
The 2005 Constance (technically a “Cotes Catalanes” Vin de Pays) ...with 30% Syrah and 10% Carignan ... Sweet and alluring aromas of creme de cassis and black raspberry jam lead to a palate of liqueur-like richness along with deep bitter chocolate and coffee as well as wet stone and lead pencil shadings. This excellent value offers an almost unprecedented amount of pure ripe fruit and resonance of finish for its price, and while it is successfully designed for impulsive (possibly even compulsive) consumption, it might well display more nuance with another year or two in bottle.

2008 Tensley Syrah Colson Canyon Vineyard
Santa Barbara County
$38.99

Wine Spectator 95 Points
"Displays gorgeous fruit, with a medley of wild berry, blackberry, huckleberry and boysenberry fruit that's pure, rich and intense, yet elegant, supple and refined. The fruit flavors are sustained on the finish, ending minerally, with fine-grained tannins. Drink now through 2017."

 Best New Zin Find

2007 Wine Guerrilla Zinfandel
Dry Creek Valley

The Revolution is in the Bottle

Only $19.99

The Dry Creek Valley Zin is a blend of 86% Zinfandel (with a little Alacante Bouchet), 6% Malbec, 4% Cab Franc and 4% Petite Sirah. The Zinfandel comes from the Price Family Vineyard off Lytton Springs Road and the Kaiser Vineyard on West Dry Creek Road. If this one was a movie, the critics would be raving. After one sip and you'll be singing it's praises, too.

'Touchdown! The 2007 Dry Creek Valley is perfectly proportioned like having an appetizer, dinner and dessert all rolled up into one...4 stars out of 4!"
Wine Life 365

"A great introduction to the Wine Guerrilla style which is reminiscent of some of Dave Coffaro's stuff or perhaps some earlier Doug Nalle wines..." WineX

'"Like eating ripe berries on a summer's day. Delicious spicy, peppery notes give a nice lift to all that rich fruit..". MyDailyWine
