Wine Merchants Gourmet was founded in 1990 to create a store with an unprecedented wine selection. Over the years we have been instrumental in bringing many of the world’s best wines to the Triad. Today with over 1000 wines in inventory and access to over 12,000 wines we are the leading source for estate-bottled wines. Our staff is the most knowledgeable and friendly with over 80 years of combined wine industry experience. Most of the wines we sell are from smaller producers, family owned wineries, or are smaller production wines, as the best wines almost always are. Each year, we taste thousands of wines, seeking out and finding the thousands of selections with the best flavors and “bang for the buck” that we offer our customers. We bring these great wines to you to taste for yourself at our frequent events. With our case discount program and special event discounts, we always offer our customers the lowest pricing we can.
Additionally we
offer educational classes, wine tastings, gourmet food tastings and
winemaker dinners. Our store offers a full range of gourmet products
including specialty foods, accessories and glassware, and the Triad’s largest
selection of artisan and farmstead cheeses. Our gift basket center
makes it easy to create great gourmet gifts for holidays or special
