Vin205 - A Farm to Table Bistro

Chef Alexandria Caesar returned home to Winston-Salem and joined VIn205 as Executive Chef in early April of 2015.   She has put her stamp on the menu with a firm commitment to Farm to Table, knowing where the foods she serves comes from, how it is grown, caught, or raised.

Vin205 the areas best selection of great wines by the glass, craft beers on tap and by the bottle, and a menu that features Farm to Table locally sourced, antibiotic and hormone free ingredients with a definite casual wine county cuisine influence.

Our Menu Changes Each Week

Chef Alex is changing items each week on our dinner menu to highlight the great cuisines of the world using the freshest seasonal local ingredients.

A Message from Executive Chef Alexandria Caesar

"They say, "Never trust a skinny Chef!" But, who are they? And what do they know?  I, the skinny Chef, know and LOVE food! I have been passionate about it from a very young age.  I learned to cook by watching my Mother, Grandmother and Aunts and after working in a few kitchens throughout high school and college, I decided that this was what I wanted to do with my life.

I attended Johnson and Wales University in Miami Florida and spent the next 10 years working with some of the best Chefs in the area, Cindy Hutson, Michelle Bernstein, Dewey LoSasso and Christian Plotzyck, as well as working aboard private yachts cruising the Caribbean, Pacific North West and Florida Keys.

There is something to be said about knowing where your food comes from, how it is grown, what it is fed, how it is treated and how much care is put into the products that you put into your bodies. It has become my mission to not only cook great food but to teach people the importance of slow food. I moved to Asheville, NC and worked in the kitchens of Home Grown, Bistro 1896, Hotel Indigo and Sazerac. There, the idea of Farm to Table is not a novelty and it was an amazing experience to be able to visit farms and develop relationships with farmers and distributors who also shared the same feelings about what and how we eat.

Coming home to Winston-Salem and being able to share my passion with the customers of Vin 205 has been amazing and I am looking forward to sharing my love for food with you."

Great Food Deserves the Best Wine and Beer Selection and Prices in Winston-Salem
The best place for food and wine is now the best place for food and craft beer.
We see your "99 bottles" and raise you now with 150 bottles available plus 20 now on tap everyday!

Featuring a core of 30 or more wine selections by the 6 ounce and 9 ounce glass, the areas first wine on tap system, 20 top craft beers on tap and 150+ more available by the bottle or can,  Vin205 is all about great wines and beers to pair with gret food.  We also serve them at the best by the glass prices in the Triad.  In addition to the wines by the glass, there are over 300 wine selections available by the bottle at just $5 corkage over the regular or sale prices in our wine store.  That beats even the places that offer "half price wine nights"!   In both our wines and our craft beers, we feature top producers and top rated selections.

NOW OPEN SUNDAY NOON TO 6 PM IN THE BISTRO AND THE RETAIL SHOP

Winston-Salem's First Wine on Tap System!
Now with Sixteen Wines on Tap Plus Twenty Craft Beers on Tap

The perfect way to dispense wines by the glass is now at our Vin205 Wine Bar with our Barrel Tap Selections. The newest thing around, great wines shipped to us in barrel kegs and run by a special tap system.   The keg system insures that the wine is always fresh and ready to serve and is a much "greener" way to package wine (no bottles, lighter to ship, refillable keg, etc.).   Add to that 20 taps with special craft beers rotating through and you have the perfect place for the best in wine and beer, and of course, great food to match.
